Liz J Drew: contributes to Athena SWAN Gender Equality initiative

Athena SWAN: A National Charter established, managed and awarded (to Higher Education institutions) by the UK Equality Challenge Unit (Advance HE)

Over several months in 2019 Liz J Drew has contributed, as a member of Birkbeck College Self- Assessment Team, on the first Arts application. The team reported to the School Executive Board and Equalities Committee to ensure that initiatives and proposals in the required Action Plan formed an integral commitment to equality and diversity.  Athena SWAN activity is deemed supportive to the development and application of research environment templates for REF 2021.
